Location. The Bienville House is located in the historic French Quarter of New Orleans, La. Hotel Features. The Bienville House, originally a riverfront warehouse, was converted into a hotel in 1965. Hand-painted murals grace the walls of the lobby, designed to resemble a gracious French Quarter manor. Cookies and lemonade are served here each afternoon. The Louisiana Heritage Cafe and School of Cooking serves Creole cuisine, with dishes such as "Rajun Cajun" omelettes and seafood beignets with remoulade sauce. The school offers entertaining culinary lessons and teaches the secrets to preparing Cajun favorites. Meeting rooms accommodating up to 100 people are available. The historic hotel features four sundecks, access to a nearby fitness center and a romantic tropical flagstone courtyard and pool. Pets are welcome here for a fee, and the hotel provides pet beds, a bowl and treats upon request.
